Participatory Wildlife Management "Safaris"
|
There are numerous routine, elective or pre-planable management procedures that lend themselves to "adoption", active observation and participation by conservation sponsors. Such activities include:
Sponsorship of such a procedure will contribute to the conservation management and protection of the animals involved, while enabling a sponsor (and their companions) a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get into the thick of the action with the professional team performing the procedure. The revenue generated is used to offset the cost of the management or medical procedure and so make conservation more affordable for the conservator. Specialist interactive wildlife veterinary safaris can also be arranged upon enquiry. (Note: These activities are not to be confused with "Green-hunting" which is a non-lethal trophy hunt (with a dart). There is currently a quazi-moratorium on green hunts as debate is underway as to the ethical, legal & safety aspects of the activity). |
